About the Company

Brasham is business house founded 3 years ago. Today it is diversified into hyperlocal delivery & marketing technology. It has hyperlocal delivery which delivers food grocery, eCommerce parcel, stationery and medicines from partnered vendors to customers within specified time. Brasham Delivery is operating in Mumbai, Bangalore & Delhi looking to be pan India in next 2 years. Brasham Media is marketing technology company that operates under brand name Martia. Martia is martech firm which helps business to reach their targeted customers with supportive digital and technology channels to increase their business. Martia is operating in Mumbai & Gurgaon. In coming 3 years Martia will be having presence outside india that is in Singapore and Dubai.

WHAT IGNITED THE SPARK IN YOU TO START Brasham?

Starting business was dream from my childhood, from the point when my mother use to give me pocket money & I use to spend it smartly so that I could buy favorite player’s marble. As my entrepreneurship journey started at age of 20 ,venturing my first business into fashion portal.
 

Which college/university did you choose to complete your studies?

I opted for B.B.A.(Bachelor of Business Administration) from M.E.S college of economics.
 

WHAT ARE THE TOP THREE ADVICE THAT YOU WOULD LIKE TO GIVE TO YOUNG GRADUATES WHO ASPIRE TO BECOME ENTREPRENEURS?

Being focused towards your dream & vision for your business is very important while building business, founders getting advise & mentoring about entrepreneurship from people, who never been to that journey, that makes founder more confuse & defocus from his/her vision.

Secondly it’s about believing in yourself & then into your idea & business which can make it work in market. If founder have conviction & perseverance towards his business then its very easy to build business under any circumstances regardless.

Third is very important, its all about execution. Every idea needs execution yet great ideas also fail in market not because of market scenario because of improper execution of idea in market.
 

WHAT IS YOUR CORE PRODUCT OR SERVICE?

Brasham is hyperlocal delivery service, which delivers product from merchant to customer. Brasham started as food delivery, then looking into opportunity it expanded in other verticals in grocery, medicine & recently we have ventured into e-commerce delivery.
 

WHAT IS THE MOST EXCITING THING RELATED WITH YOUR BUSINESS?

Managing & running business itself is exciting yet challenging daily task, everyday is newstart with different sort of challenges coming across your table which makes very exciting to solve it in very innovative & diplomatic manner, so that its win win situation on all sides of business, as business is not about individual, its all about team work & efforts which makes business grow & expand successfully.
 

HOW DO YOU DO MARKETING ABOUT YOUR BUSINESS? WHAT HAS BEEN THE SUCCESSFUL FORM OF MARKETING?

As the world is moving digital & everyone is connected online, way of reaching our target market is by marketing on all digital platforms. Doing digital marketing (paid marketing) gives more visibility to masses through digital platform. B2B venture is getting more business from word of mouth compared to paid marketing, as its all about using our delivery service & getting experience to our vendors. And Brasham is last mile delivery service which not only delivers product to customer but it delivers experience to customer so that happy customer is satisfied vendor which results in growing business exponentially.
 

CHALLENGES ARE BUNDLED UP ALONG ALL VENTURES, WHAT SORT OF CHALLENGES DID YOU FACE? HOW DID YOU MANAGE UPS AND DOWNS IN ROLLER COASTER RIDE?

Every business faces ups & downs which makes it going, constant line in ESG also means death of human being. Likely other startup businesses I had also had financial issues about overhead cost & lesser revenue but other than finance there is big issue about getting compatible riders for your delivery business as my business is dependent on them for delivery. The experience Brasham wants to deliver to customer, but when you are into delivery business you get use to daily challenges of delivery riders & their issues, making them realize that they are part of the company & also contribute to make business successful, then every challenge turns into opportunity.
 

WHO IS YOUR MENTOR OR ROLE MODEL?

There is no role model as such, I follow different people for different things, nor I have mentor in my business.
 

WHAT ARE THE FACTORS YOU KEEP IN MIND WHILE HIRING THE RIGHT PEOPLE IN YOUR ORGANIZATION?

There is no key factors to be list down for hiring as such, it’s all about getting right person on right position for designated responsibility in organization as every person working in Brasham knows about solving problem in different scenarios from office boy to operation manager of the company, that makes them more compatible enough. We in Brasham, don’t buy diamonds but we do produce dazzling diamond which will revolutionize the world in near future.
 

WHAT IS THE DEFINITION OF SUCCESS FOR YOU? HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF?

Success is defined in different modes of your business.

– Every happy customer & satisfied vendor is success for Brasham which makes it grow.
– Having happy & comfortable employees gives success to Brasham to get more productivity in building product & business in market.
– Likely, every business operates for profit, monetary consideration. When our investors and stakeholders get high returns on their money invested in our dream & vision to build is again big success for Brasham.
 
Brasham would have never been successful nor grow its business geographically & financially without its team. It was possible to reach at this level from nothing and achieve everything in the world only because of Brasham’s each and every employee, investors, stakeholders who trusted and believed in Brasham’s vision to build a successful business that will continue for Brasham.
 

WHAT ARE YOUR VIEWS ON COMPETITORS?

Comparatively there are 2 major competitors in market that is Grab & shadowfax which makes the show go on & makes it exciting for Brasham to compete with them in all healthy manner. Every business needs competition to grow & innovate themselves, without competition none of us can grow nor innovate something new which can change the world & make it better.
 

BIGGEST RISK YOU HAVE EVER TAKEN? HOW DID YOU MANAGE THAT RISK FACTOR?

I, personally as founder of Brasham, have not taken biggest risk yet in my life. Probably when I will take, it will be mostly to revolutionize the world how human spend their life & lifestyle.

WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT YOUR COMPANY CULTURE?

I believe Brasham’s working culture is pleasant, because productivity comes from comfortable working culture. When employees are comfortable they start doing work effectively & efficiently which in turn makes high productive result in any given task and helps Brasham grow.
 

WHAT SACRIFICES YOU HAD TO MAKE TO BE AN SUCCESSFUL ENTREPRENEUR?

As an entrepreneur I don’t believe there are any sacrifices anyone have to do to be successful entrepreneur, its all about prioritizing your priorities and giving dedication towards your dream & vision which you believe & you are working for, and other things just fall in place simultaneously.
 

IF YOU HAD GOT THE CHANCE TO START THE CARRIER AGAIN, WHAT WOULD YOU DO DIFFERENTLY?

I would definitely fix up my mistakes & fouls which I made in my initial days of startup business as its my first entrepreneurship journey & would make it more better in someway or the other way round compared to what is there today. May be better version of Brasham quite before time.
 

HOW LONG DO YOU STICK WITH AN IDEA BEFORE GIVING UP?

It’s not about giving up the idea or sticking to your idea. Every startup business founder have conviction of doing business & changing the world, but simultaneously you should be smart enough to understand cost of time & energy you invest & outcome of input. You cannot say I am passionate about my idea & don’t want to give up, but to a certain extern founder’s input should give proportionate outcome or nearly proportionate outcome in monetary manner because every business in the world is done for profits. Without profits you cannot operate business until & unless it’s NPO. Basic principle of business is you invest ₹ 10 make ₹ 10 that’s proportionate outcome towards your input & target for bigger outcome with lesser input in effective & efficient manner & if this is not the case then I would believe of giving up the particular idea.
