What was the first moment when you thought to start a Business?
I was always driven to start my own business since I was a child. Being from a business oriented family, I always wanted to have one of my own. This thought started turning a reality for me as soon as I was about to graduate as that is when I became serious on having on my own enterprise.
Every business has a up/down moment. Do you want to share anything special with us?
Always follow 2 principles no matter what – Stay Motivated & Believe in Yourself. Its natural for every business to have its ups and specially its down. the downs are not failures but just opportunities to learn and become better. I strongly follow these 2 principles and they have so far helped me to tackle all my challenges.
What is your core product or service?
I drive 3 businesses focused on 3 areas:
1. Providing Social Media Marketing to businesses (SMMUnleashed)
2. Platform for providing work from home opportunities to women (WorkingWomen.biz)
3. Social Initiative to help provide mentoring and guidance to Women Entrepreneurs (Women Wave)
What is the most exciting thing related with your business?
Meeting new people and being able to interact and network with them. The wealth of knowledge that is shared in these interactions is what I cherish.
What is your roadmap and Goal for upcoming years?
My goal is to enhance our reach to women who are looking to work from home (be it part time) so that they are able to use their skill sets. Workingwomen.biz is what I am looking to grow in the coming months as I have been in the same boat (not being able to work for few years) due to personal constraints while having some free time on a daily basis. We see lot of opportunities in the industry where these women would be highly appreciated and can contribute to the success of the company as well as to their personal growth and we want to bridge that gap.
Who is your mentor or role model?
My father is my personal mentor. From the industry, I do look up to quite a few people who have helped and guided me in my journey.
What is the definition of success for you? How do you see yourself?
Success is what provides you satisfaction. For me, money, lifestyle are all by products of satisfaction. If I am able to do something that give me internal happiness, then I consider it a success for me. I am a happy go person who loves meeting people and so far I am quite happy with what I have been able to achieve.
What are your views on competitors?
Strong and Ethical competition is very healthy and I strongly welcome it. It makes me get better while at the same time helps to provide better services to customers. At the end of the day, I am also a customer 🙂
Biggest risk you have ever taken?
Starting my own venture is the biggest risk. Considering the commitment from time and effort perspective that I had to give while knowing that I would be sacrificing my family time.
Have you ever done anything unethical?
Not so far and hoping not to as well
What do you think about your company culture?
Its highly informal. Processes exist but they are for guidance and not rules. We believe in enjoying our work and our aim is to meet the set objectives in the best possible way.
