About the Company
‘JIIV’ which means life. People at JIIV have undertaken the manufacturing of Eco-friendly stationery, beginning with Pens and Pencils made Best out of waste, which is from newspapers and paper waste from the book industry. Our motto is to educate and create awareness among people, especially children about the depleting natural resources and the path to sustainable development. This is what Vishal say during the interview with us at Bizwiz
WHAT WAS THE FIRST MOMENT WHEN YOU THOUGHT TO START A BUSINESS?
Although hailing from a business family, initially was a bit nervous thinking about the sustenance but gradually i got a knack of it.
WHAT IS YOUR CORE PRODUCT OR SERVICE?
We are into manufacturing of eco-friendly writing instruments. We make pens and pencils out of newspapers and recycled paper.
WHAT IS THE MOST EXCITING THING RELATED WITH YOUR BUSINESS?
It is through our new venture ‘JIIV’ which means life; we are all set to work with the farthest interest in Nature’s glory and its conservation. We are treading on the uncharted paths of nature realising its true rejuvenating potential. Many organisations do take up recycling, though we as users have no transparency about it. Since we have begun to survey the flora, the people at JIIV have undertaken the manufacturing of Eco-friendly stationery, beginning with Pens and Pencils made Best out of waste, which is from newspapers and paper waste from the book industry. Our motto is to educate and create awareness among people, especially children about the depleting natural resources and the path to sustainable development. Subsequently we stand by the Pledge taken by Mysuru regarding the 4 R’s that is to Refuse, Reduce, Recycle and Reuse. By using our stationery one will certainly feel their reunion with the environment and the real recycling in our products.
WHAT IS YOUR ROADMAP AND GOAL FOR UPCOMING YEARS?
Gone are the days when people use to walk freely on spotless paths breathing the essence of Nature. Now are the days where people cross toll gates to rejoice in the serenity of the scenery. But still what you end up finding everywhere is plastic tangled to your slippers and the burnt pieces of paper flying all over freely like birds, dirt and filth around. Just when people have isolated from nature and are coddling the concrete world, nature enthusiasts come to forefront to turn over a new leaf. Generations have trod… have trod… have trod… Mother earth is only being uglified with industrial smudge and carbon footprints. But it’s now prime time for us to turn proactive towards the changing phase of environment and work for the betterment of it. We would love to see JIIV Pencils in hands of each and every kid in India and realise the importance of a sustainable living. Till date we have reached around 1 lakh people and this year we are targeting around 3 lakhs people.
